Christopher To, a member of ICANN’s Nominating Committee is the Chair of this important event, which is run in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia Pacific. (UNESCAP) I will be attending the Forum next week, and have the pleasure of sitting on two panels. One concerns ODR and e-Governance, and the other on the Future of ODR.

This afternoon I will have the please of giving a guest lecture at the Hong Kong University Law School. Professor Hong Xue, one of the stalwarts of the ALAC community, and its present IDN Liasion, has asked me to speak to her Tech Law class about the role of the ICANN Ombudsman, and the use of Online Dispute Resolution.
Thank you Hong. I very much appreciate this opportunity to speak to lawyers in training about these alternative ways to deal with disputes.
Congratulations to Herb Waye, who has previously fulfilled the role of Adjunct Ombudsman. Herb graduated over the weekend with a Masters in Leadership from Royal Roads University.
The Pepperdine Externs who have been assisting ICANN had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Cerf prior to the ICANN Gala in his honour.
